not sure but its the closest thing we got

I want to see how Litten will turn into a ground type... Possibly like the fire starter in Pokemon Solar Light and Lunar Dark (coincidence... I think NOT)

I do find going through web page stuff to be interested.. just hope it's not actually fire/fighting and water/ground. That would be disappointing.
Also.. we only have one pure fire starter. Don't know why we can't get another.

almost forgot to mention this judging by the fact that the grass starter is dual type from the start, I think Game Freak wants people to pick it, and it could possibly be OP, if not just pretty much useless.

I also think it's a possibility that they could be those typings and if they are I'm not going to be mad.

honestly, as long as it isn't another fire fighting I don't really care but I would prefer a pure fire type all in all.

I think that typing-wise, Rowlet is going to be Grass-Flying in all its forms. WARNING: do not get cold EVER

As for Litten's later typing...well, I'm tempted to go with Dark simply because of the color palette, but it honestly could go in any direction. Except Fighting. Fire-Fighting has been done to death. You know it, I know it, Nintendo knows it.

Popplio is also a bit hard to guess, but when I look at him, two other pokemon immediately come to mind. Walrein and Dewgong. And then Samurott pops up for some odd reason...anyhoo, I don't but any weight to this guess simply because it's already been done, but...maybe Popplio's later forms will be Water-Ice?

Solgaleo is going to be Fire-something. Maybe pure Fire, but I think you could throw another type in there. Maybe...

Lunaala...well, I keep hearing speculation for him being a Dark-Flying type, but considering we just got Yveltal, I highly doubt it. Personally, I'm thinking we have a Psychic type here. Probably Psychic-Flying, maybe Psychic-Dragon.

EDIT: As far as nicknames, my Rowlet will either be an Apollo or an Artemis, depending on gender.

interesting stuff, having water ice will certainly give it an edge against the grass starter so its possible they wanna break the meta there. I was actually theorizing that they could have another new typing, which is unlikely though possible, or the more out there triple typing which would be an interesting thought and would certainly mix things up and go in a new direction with the series and I'd kinda like it to be so, but we won't know till later on or when we get the game.
