With the introduction of Megas in Generation 6, Mega Abomasnow had the best base stats for Attack and Special Attack in a Grass or Ice type, but only if you exclude the Legendary Pokémon.

Alphabetically, Abomasnow is the first Pokémon in the pokédex. But that could change with Sun and Moon.

Abomasnow certainly wasn't the star of "Giratina and the Sky Warrior" but he was one of the Pokémon to help save Ten'i Village from the glacier.
