I don't think Essix understands what a revamp really is, plus he did one of a gen 3 sprite. Someone tell them that they need to fix it.

Can someone clarify the exact nature of a revamp? From what I've seen, it appears to be no more than a color-rehaul. But if that's the challenge, fine by me.

Well, a good revamp includes recoloring with a larger palette, reshading, editing existing bad anatomy (or other flaws with the sprite), and rescaling if need be.

What Essix did was edit a newer sprite to look like an older trainer class.. which was not at all what was supposed to have been done.

Are location allowable as well, perhaps? If not... maybe this could allow for future possibilities in terms of contest ideas by admitting a location revamp this round. Ahem.

LM said you asked about this- don't know if he relayed to you or not, but not for this round. For one, the overworld is made up of a bunch of separate tiles, and I can't even begin to tell you what would be the proper scale to up it to. Second, it's not easily compatible to a pokemon or trainer revamp.

Possibly in the future, but not for this round.

Whenever the Judge in question has time (so around Sunday, I guess). Not to mention the increasingly more common arrival of late entries slowing down the process. No particular offense meant there. I was actually a bit late myself this round, but even so...
