i mean that we would have some sort of communication like skype and we both use recording software to record the game basically like a vs's that youtubers do (i am one of those youtubers) we will have a sidebar and stuff

Yeah it is hard to record in different time zones, and how would we transfer the videos, if we want to make a side by side?

You play and record the game. You send the recordings to gamer. He makes a video out of it. And he records the Skype.

You play both your own game but you play it together and talking about stuff. That's called a co-op.

Isn't co-op short for COOPeration, you don't really cooperate you just play it while talking...
