What's your opinion on InuYasha?

This particular anime holds a special place in my heart, mainly for being my gateway into even taking an interest in the genre. I've recently started buying up the seasons and watching it all the way through again. And though some parts are pretty cheesy and corny I find a lot of parts make me smile and laugh still. Is it just me? Is it one of those things that got too popular or? I don't know. But it certainly does my heart joy to meet other fans of the show.

Inuyasha I never saw all the way though, but my favorite character was Sesshomaru.
Actually the show is why I decided to do one of my school projects on feudal japan years ago.

Of course Sesshomaru! He is the only truly competent character when it comes down to it. Well, aside from Naraku.
I don't know though I just really enjoy the series. Even it's quirkiness seems to fit it well.

Tbh I've always felt Inuyasha is just kind of a bland show. Considering so many anime and manga series that came out around the same time. Examples being: One Piece, Hunter X Hunter, Naruto, Dragon Ball Z and GT, Berzerk? Like there's so many shows out there that you can watch with better quality in almost every aspect.
