because unfortunately Ash takes priority. They're probably gonna exclude him from the main anime. Who knows, if (hopefully when) we get a full fledged anime of Generations, we'll see AZ and the Kalos champion square off, otherwise we might see him in a short or we'll not see him at all.

So I just got to watching the 2 episodes that are up.

This is absolute fanservice and I love every second of it. I'd love a new OVA like Origins since that was so cool.

Aaargh! I'm so sick of Ash! We've seen what we're ever going to see of him at least a decade ago! Just kill him off already!

The main anime is so predictable at this point and it's all because of him!

they can't kill him off because the main anime is aimed at a younger audience, at least for the western side of things. That's why I'm hoping Generations becomes a full fledged show.

So is The Lion King and... Well, Disney movies in general. They're all aimed for a younger audience but they have no problem killing off Mufasa, Bambi's mom, a whole lot of villains in horrible ways... Hell, even some Pokemon died in the anime!

You know, for kids! (Yeah I know that Celebi comes back, but Jeeeesus just look at it!)
If not literally "kill" then let the poor boy grow up and give up already. Or at least get good and entertaining.

They already have a lot on their plate. As long as they deliver what the fandom wants to see I don't care.

It'll be that way until money no longer makes the world go around and we all have robot servants.

It's gonna be this way until the main series anime is no longer aimed primarily at children, which will be never. So just hope that Generations becomes a full series at the least and that it's aimed at an older audience, which it looks to be in my opinion.

At this point I'd just be happy if Ash stopped losing. It's not like he has to stop traveling just because he wins the league for a change, in fact it made way more sense for him to just stay behind in kanto and keep trying the pokemon league challenge (never been nay indication that if you lose once you're banned) instead of leaving and trying a totally different league when you haven't even beaten the one you tried before.

If the anime didn't portray him as someone who never quits I'd just think of him as a copout who tries different leagues instead of retrying the ones he failed because he's hoping for an easier time.

It cannot just be me. I noticed this as a kid too...but at least he did win the orange islands.

Speaking of the orange isles is anyone noticing the eerie similarities with Alola. There are fewer gym leaders and each has a special gimmick, not just a regular battle and of course they're both islands (4 with island challanges)

I always thought the Sevii isles from FRLG were orange isles refs tbh, I guess alola can be seen as a comparison as well, it does share more in common.

Hey, 'nother episode out.

It's beautiful, kick-ass, Team Rocket's reaction to Lance was like,
"Oh shit it's Lance? Uh... Intimidating. Look intimidating..." *Walks around like a drunk*
And we get to see Petrel! ...I have a... History with the character. No Ariana or Archer though...
The main problem I have is that we barely get to see the player characters. Come ooon! Lemme see them!

they put that in as a teaser for people, he'll obviously be in it again, as will other protagonists, but maybe they're just trying to get the best voice actor for Gold before letting him speak. That's my guess anyway, but hell that Dragonite was tearing through everything, I don't know what it is but I really enjoy Lance in Generations too. Those rocket grunts walking though

so the fifth and sixth episodes just got released, and I gotta say, I don't totally hate Silver as much now as I did when I last played Gen 2.

And now we can hopefully move on to hoenn. These two episodes are very interesting, probably because I never played any jhoto games but...could this mean something...what if team rocket actually appears in sun and moon?

well with it being the 20th anniversary, I'd say that while an unlikely thing, it's still a possibility that team rocket in some form is going to make an appearance, or maybe Giovanni returns this gen and is the real mastermind behind team skull. I don't know, just something to think about I guess, however unlikely.

Yeah I mean there's already so much love to gen 1 that it's been milked to death, tough they also did it with X and y due to over half of the megas prior to Oras were from kanto. It wouldn't surprise me if they did do this but it's just a fun thought..
