Some people really don't want the story ruined so that's what I'd be worried about. Game mechanics I'd say are fair game.

I'm still looking through the learnset information- Ariados gets a new move that only it gets.. sadly it doesn't look to be very useful.

Well, guys, turns out you cannot use Hyper Training to change Hidden Power types, or make a 6 IV Ditto an use that for breeding.

The hidden power thing is really good for competitive. The Ditto thing not so much though.

on the contrary it is seeing as ditto is able to breed with any pokemon with a male or female gender and it would be easier to pass on Ivs to other pokemon

Karasu, we've all got 6 IV Dittos to begin with- all ya gotta do is ask anyone who knows RNG Wink

But basically this reaffirms why we're not reopening gyms until bank is able to transfer in January.. because now you can't even get 6 IV parents for breeding until then.

Wait, I heard a rumor that HMs are not in the games. Is this confirmed? Was it already discussed here? (Haven't been keeping up.)

*crosses fingers* I despise everything about HMs so god I hope it's true, this would instantly be the best gen ever if it were.

The way HMs are, I understand disliking them, but they have so much potential to be incredibly useful moves. Like if Strength was a Fighting type move, or if Rock Smash was 4× effecrive against Rock, or Cut was super effective against Grass. Getting rid of them entirely isn't the solution to the HM problem. They just need to retype them and/or change their in-battle effects, and they'll be significantly better.

Well, LM, they are gone- only Fly, Surf, and Waterfall have been promoted to TM status. The rest are gone.

actually its actually smart seeing as strength, rock smash and cut were only put on pokemon for hazards meaning now we don't have to teach pokemon HMS and go to a move deleter to get rid of them and now we can ride pokemon to destroy things that block our path >: D

GameFreak have never removed moves before. It seems pretty stupid especially considering a lot of hms were useful in competative, like defog, whirlpool or even strength(since it has 80 power).
