Hello Everyone

Hello everyone, my name is Louis, aka ArjulTheDreamer and I'm new to the Silver League.

I found out about this website from Silver August's YouTube videos, particularly the Pixel Art In Review series, I love pixel art, aside from a couple small gaps, I've been doing it since I was in year 7, now I'm 18 and in year 12, my areas of pixel art does mainly focus in two areas, Pokemon and Minecraft. I hope I can show what I can do here at this site. I'm not always the person who likes to battle when it comes to Pokemon, I'd rather trade or other things. My first gen was gen 2. I've been playing ever since. My favourite Pokemon types include Water, Dark, Ghost, Psychic and Electric. Some of my favourite Pokemon include, Feraligatr, Noctowl, Donphan (and Phanphy), Ariados, Suicune, Swellow, all the Gen 3 starters and their evolution lines, there are others, but I can mention them another time. Possibly my least favourite gen is no.6 because I felt it was way too easy, the hardest for me was gen 4, curse you Cynthia.

As I mentioned earlier, I'm currently 18, I live in Australia, love drawing and pixel art. I love to listen to music while I do anything, especially any form of art. I'm going to show my better pixel art to this site, I may show my earliest sprites to show how far I have come. One of the main reasons behind why I love to make Pokemon sprites is because I would love to make a fan Pokemon game, there is always been the problem. I don't have much talent for coding or sound design. Although my game in the planning stage, has gotten fairly underway, technically the planning has been going on for between 7-11 months as of now. Hopefully any of you pros can show me how to get better during my time on this site. For now I hope I get to meet some wonderful people and talk with them as friends.

Hello and welcome to the forums. We have a pixel art section to post your pixel arts. Other people can see that and give critique on how to improve everything. I'm not a pixel artist but others are. I'm more of a battler. I'd like to see what you've made and any other further art.

Anyway, do feel free to show off your pixel art, and as for your fan game.. are you making it as a rom hack, or on RPG maker?

Bonjour! Always nice to have another spriter around. I will admit, I first joined the League myself after seeing Silver's art videos, as well. As for battling, don't worry too much on that regard. There are plenty--like myself--who aren't overly engrossed in it.

And please, do show off your sprite artwork. Some of us here are adept critics, they may very well help you improve. We also seem to have our spriting contests back in action, soon possibly, so you could trial there for some added experience if you wish. Hope you enjoy yourself here, Louis!

Thanks for welcoming me, I should be uploading several different characters and a Fakemon on the pixel art soon. I'll probably show another where it has some of my first sprites compared to my latest ones. I'll think about trying to post the story I have so far for my game, if it ever gets done, it is going to be on RPG Maker, since it will have new types, new Pokeballs, Fakemon, and sidestoryline things. The game is darker than a typical-storylined Pokemon game. There are going to be two evil teams. I've been doing it for a long time, the majority is on paper.
