PIXEL ART CONTEST - Create a Generation 6 Pokemon!

Alright guys, to celebrate the relaunch and reconstruction of Pixel Arts, we're proud to announce a brand new contest! As the title implies the theme of the contest is to make up a Gen 6 Pokemon. The Pokemon itself can be anything you want including an evolution to an old Pokemon, or a brand new fresh idea. Splicing is allowed but drawing a Pokemon from scratch or at least intense edited is encouraged.

This contest won't just have one winner though, there will be 3 categories where contestants will be able to win prizes it, and thus be changed for as well.

-Best Sprite: This award will go to the sprite who one way or another, just looks the cleanest, most professional, and shows the full talent of the spriter at work.

-Best Idea: This award will go to the contestant who's submission while it may not be the best executed, displayed a certain level of creativity, and smart thinking that goes into a lot of great Pokemon designs. To win this category, leaving information on your Pokemon like name, real life inspiration and just any info on it that might go towards explaining it, will help give the judges an idea of what you were going for, and thus have a shot for your idea being recognized.

-Most Original Sprite: This award goes to the contestant who makes a submission that is NOT just a spliced Pokemon, who can pull off a good sprite without needing to splice, the true challenge of a Spriter to make them different then just a novice is being able to make something from scratch and make it look good too!


All submissions MUST be dropped off in this forum post so judges can easily find them later, Contestants may only submit ONE Pokemon and are allowed to resubmit if they come up with a different idea.

Entries will accepted until December 22nd, then Judges will take a look at the entries and have the results posted on Christmas Eve.

Prizes are being worked out with Silver August and Blight so look forward to confirmed announcements! But know that one of the prizes WILL BE a shiny flawless Smergle

Remember, giving as much detail as possible on your submission is encouraged so when you do post, please be sure to give us name, type, real life inspiration, stats, any ifno you want,. more the better, so we look forward to seeing what you guys can come up with! till then guys!
