Trust me, she isn't hating against crows. The Crows are a very spesific group in the world, and no players are allowed to be a part of that group.

Aight, time for questions.
1. Why do all subs need to be 18?
2. Are the subs specific peoples(certain ethinicities or countries)?
3. Are all countires's borders still the same?
4. Why does this sound so much like the Hunger Games? ;P

All player characters are going to be in the Trial and Subs only particpate at age 18. Logically following, all Sub characters need to be 18.

Not completely, however there's a higher likelyhood for them to be from places that would have been hit harder by the plague, such as Japan, or areas conquered later, like America.

Since the society is rather worldwide, borders wouldn't really exist, though the general areas would probably referred to the same as they currently are.

No. Subs don't apply for the Trial like the other classes. They all take it at age 18. Not before, not after. No exceptions.

Actually, if anything, Phoenix is weird. What Rey said is seen as pretty normal in the society simply because the Subhuman class is seen as just that by almost EVERYONE, so the way Phoenix is treating Carol is taboo if anything.
