Second Sprites

These are the sprites of a fire gym leader, the Arcanine is a revamp. And I know the trainer sprite is like 99% Morty and just looks awfull so i would like to get some advice at that.

You said you wanted some advice around that it resembles Morty too much?
Well, I'm definitely not an expert at pixel art but, I'd say: Don't worry. If you watch Silver's pixel art show, you may hav noticed A LOT of mugshots resembles their base models sharply. You have to start somewhere. In yout case, I think the "Mortyness," if you will, is reduced to a good point
Heck, I'm impressed you even were able to take of that "Morty-smirk."
Though, try to mix it up a bit with other mugshots to try and make it even more orignal. You're of to a good start at least

Also, the name "Blake" maybe could be spiced up? It is not my call, but remember we already have a Blaine

I will try to get more mugshots infolved. About the name its like the only thing that came up with me,
I'm still looking for another name but just as for now its Blake...(sigh).
I do watch PAIR, and it is true alot of them resemble the original sprite's.
But I just like it more when its like almost completely original.
If i'm going to do that I will have to work.
