A small collection of sprites that I have made.

Here are a bunch of sprites for the game I am making, The Igglybuff edit, is a corrupt Pokemon (for the storyline) new typing as well. Then the little bird on the bottom is Penguice, a Fakemon no.26 in the new Pokedex.

I would for you to be a critic for my work, I would love to hear any and all, since I want to improve and I am horrible at self-critic, and I put a lot of that work into a dark, unreachable place.

Well well well. These are pretty good for recolours and slight retools. If I had to point out anything it would be to work on DJ Volt's hair a bit since it looks like it just spouts from the top of a tube shaped head. Keep at it you will only get better as you try.

Yeah, out of all of them, he is possibly the worst, there used to be three DJs, the fire-type one, looked way worse, the legs were disproportionate with the rest of the sprite. The rest I feel really do work out. I've got a long way to go, I know, but if you see my post (soon to come possibly) of a little comparison between my first few sprites, to some new ones. I truly do like these. Your use of coloration is rather nice, though I will point out something. On the DJ's, it appears they have fishnet stocking on their limbs, which ought to have a semi-darker shade on the skin tones for the area they're covering. Seems like you did that on DJ Dew, but Volt could use some touch-ups for his arm.

And tell me if I'm wrong, but would you be going for a more street-like, gangster vibe with your game? Just an observation I'm making from the sprites. If so, you're definitely on the right track.

I like these designs (although DJ Volt looks like he/she has a palm tree for a head) the only complaint I have is how come Bessie is just a recolour and no small editing what so ever? I liked how the rest are semi edited and recoloured but that was the only complaint I had. on another note They all look good just a bit more practice and you'll be good! ^_^

There is going to be a side story-line involving a gang, that has three gang leaders, I only put two up, the third hasn't even been started, the Bessie character has two ways they could go, the one I will probably go with, is that she is a rival. I don't mind explaining what I will try to involve with her importance. As the story goes on, I think in total there can be like 4 battles with her. Each time you see her, all of her Pokemon are more bruised, since she views them as tools, like many official characters, but to a different extent.

I'm currently making the male and female character trainer sprites. So far they are having mild luck with their development. Thanks for the comments and noting any errors and things like that. I really appreciate it. The main problem with sprites for me, is the Pokemon, I'm probably much better at trainers.

I may post what I have of the story-line and other facts.

So, as they are, they are pretty solid sprites, though a few things I've noticed may need some work.

By far the biggest thing that came to mind here were your colors. The color ideas are great in themselves, but the shading of those colors tend to either be too close together OR too far apart.
For example, on Desmond, the third shade (if lining them up from lightest to darkest) of the brown on him is SO much darker than the lighter shades. It would look a lot better if you just made that shade a little bit brighter. As for the yellow shirt he has, I feel the outline shade is a little too light.
This is a thing that is really consistent throughout all of your sprites. Maybe just work on your color shades a little bit more, and they will look fantastic.

The other thing I noticed is that on things you scratch make, they are pillow shaded. While that is not inherently bad if done with the right style of sprite, in the case of Pokemon, it is. This is VERY noticeable on Penguice, but it's also part of the Graffiti Artist's spray can. Just work on your actual shading a bit in any way you can, even if it means taking an official sprite, getting rid of everything but the outline, and then reshading it yourself.

Overall, the ideas you have are great, and for recolors, they are pretty solid. Great color choice, but the shading of those colors needs a little work, as does your actual scratch shading. They are good sprites, but with some more work, I know they can become great sprites ^u^
