SL Sunday Teams

Post by SteakMonster on Sun Feb 07, 2016 7:49 am

Hello everyone.  For your pleasure and convenience, I have decided to just make one massive topic on all of my teams and update it weekly.  This post will also hold the schedule which will be edited weekly as well.  Overall, have a nice day and enjoy reading about my teams!

This Week: Mega Garchomp

This is going to be the end of SL Sundays for a while. I am having a lot of things going on personally, and I need a break and more time in my daily life. Thank you to all who have read, commented and given advice to this. I have enjoyed doing this for the past few weeks, and I hope I can resume this later down the road.

Re: SL Sunday Teams

Post by FutureCreator on Sun Feb 07, 2016 8:10 am

From what I see, the team has a bad weakness to scald. Most pokemon on it would get dealt massive ammounts of damage. Azumarill has the potential of being burned. The only viable thing to take it would be Starmie, but it wouldn't be able to hold off the likes of milotic. Maybe give it recover instead of Rapid spin.

Re: SL Sunday Teams

The counter on Skarmory is a great idea and it will work... once. After that it worked once it will become predictable once the opponent knows you have no further offensive moves. With that Skarmory becomes an easy pokémon to deal with, in my opinion. Even when you whirlwind them out they know they don't have to hit you with a physical attack.

Also, I'd like to see you use more Ru to Pu pokémon. You rely heavily on the Ou and Uu mons. I see the Rhyperior you added to one of your teams, but I would like to see some more variation in your team.

~Mega Charizard Y Team~

Post by SteakMonster on Sun Feb 28, 2016 1:09 pm

EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Earthquake
- Brick Break
- Iron Head

Machamp @ Assault Vest
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Dynamic Punch
- Knock Off
- Ice Punch
- Bullet Punch

Amoonguss @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Spore
- Clear Smog
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Slowbro @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
- Flamethrower
- Ice Beam
- Protect
- Slack Off

Liepard @ Focus Sash
Ability: Unburden
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Dark Pulse
- Shadow Ball
- Foul Play

I tried to go by a variation from my normal way by forming an offensive core between Charizard and Excadrill, and the infamous defensive core between Slowbro and Amoongus. Liepard is a gimmick I have tried in the past and it has been effective so I'm trying it out. Any advice on what I should change is appreciated.
