I'm Taking Notes...

I'm not much of a battle-centric player, but I need to get by the Battle Resort in OR and I'm becoming moderately more interested in Wifi battles.

Honestly, I typically want a team of Pokémon that I tend to have a personal connection with and my strategy is almost solely offensive, I've noticed. Sometimes I'll throw in status moves. I probably want to switch that up. Mostly I've been noting some tips from archived Moveset of the Weeks on a number of Pokémon.

This post is mainly asking for the same kind of suggestions, but with other Pokémon I have in mind to use. Like, Lucario. I really like Lucario, as hyped as it may be. What would be a suggested moveset/strategy for it?

Then comes some more newb-ish questions of mine, mostly stemming from wanting to use some favorites of mine, even if they aren't so Battle-efficient. I realize I would probably have to at least compensate with a lot of Super Training, but even if only in some switch-out strategies (taking damage instead of another party member or something), I want to at least try to incorporate them. Baby Pokémon (not evolving) like Togepi and Litwick. The universally-regarded useless one, Unown. What could be suggested to adequately use these, if possible? I have other ideas, but it's just something I want to try.

I am no competitive battler, but I have learned a few things by way of employing your general strategy. That is to say, using Pokemon I like instead of Pokemon in the top-tiers.

Unown, for instance, is generally considered useless in battle. Though depending on the typeage of your team, you could perfect the EVs or IVs of several Unown to ensure Hidden Power moves of each type. Whatever best compliments your team.

As for Togepi and Litwick... you miss quite a bit in terms of HP, Special Attack, and Speed to keep them in their baby forms. Eviolite can help but only so much. However, Smogon (as always) offers rather sound advice if you'd like to check up on it.

Beyond that, I'm afraid I am of little use.

You've given me advice all the same, which I appreciate. I have other Pokémon to fall back on, so these aren't for the only ones I'm interested in using, meaning no worries if I can't make the team work.

Hm.. the most I can think to do with a LC pokemon against fully evolved is, give Litwick focus sash and Pain Split so it can at least do half health of the opponent before it dies, though this requires it to be level 1.
Sadly not as good at doing this as Nosepass though (because sturdy).

Noted. Anyone have thoughts on helping me with Lucario though? The baby Pokémon aren't the only ones approached here.
