Some trainer sprite dumping (and one Pokemon)
First time posting, but not my first time spriting... And that's why I'm here- to show of my sprites.
To start, I guess I'll show these off. These three are probably my favorite. I would have four, but the fourth one is uh... Have you ever seen Me!Me!Me!? The fourth one is the idol from the parts of the music video after the first one.
Me!Me!Me! idol, (SFW) !/Rock Exclamationchu from Twitch Plays Alpha Sapphire... Or Omega Ruby. I honestly can't remember which one it was, and um... Me.
The most recent one is the Me!Me!Me! idol.
I also made this-
She's another character of mine. I suppose I could have another frame or two that have the horns and tail actually growing out instead of just appearing, but... *Shrug*
And finally, there's these characters that I made for a Pokemon fan game I'm currently working on (RPG XP game)-
I'm planning on remaking them in fourth and/or fifth gen sprites sometime. And since I have these, I can actually take my time with the remade sprites, instead of having to rush them so I can finally finish the first chapter of a game I'm working on.
Almost all of their designs were created based on a random character generator! =D I really needed to come up with characters for my game, and then I really needed to work on sprites for said game. Can you tell where I started, and when I just didn't care anymore?
Oh, and then there's this little-
...Did I make it painfully obvious what kind of game I'm making yet? I'm making it so you don't HAVE to have played Dangan Ronpa to understand. It has it's own story and what-not...
Well, anyway, I have a lot more, but these are the ones that I'm most proud of right now... And then some. I have never sprited to add to a game before. In fact, I think those eighteen are the only ones that I made because I had to, and not because I wanted to.

The first three are pretty good, but the outlines could use some work, since it's painfully obvious on what you added over the base sprite. I would suggest darker outlines and probaby giving the outlines shading too with black. Also, the colors on the first one are WAAAY too bright and garish.
The next sprite could use some work. The horns look good, but the tail seems kinda stiff. Also, the shading on the, well, most of it could be improved. The red parts suffer from the same outline problem as the earlier sprites, and some of the skin could also be better shaded, same goes for the leggings. As for the hair, I...uhh, I don't know. It looks weird and kinda flat and plastic-y, and not like hair.
I'd rather not take the time to comment on all of these, since they are mostly just recolors and slight edits on the original sprites.
And the Teddiursa suffers, again, from your outlining problem. I would also say lighten up the black a little bit just so more detail can be seen on that side.
You have promise, but it needs a little refining. I feel you can do it, though.

Thanks for the tips!
I know that the Me!Me!Me! idol is garish... This is why:
Blame Gainex. TwT
I'll probably clean up the sprites a bit... Well, the first three and Monoursa, anyway. Y'know... Once I'm not practically asleep. ^^;
Edit: I just realized that I forgot the frilly sleeve things! Nooo!
Edit again: I just realized (again) that Monoursa looked a bit JPEG. So RPGXP has this weird thing where you have to make your sprites double in size if you want to actually see them in the game. I resized it back to normal last night, added it onto the post, and went to bed.
Here it is WITHOUT the lovely JPEG quality-

Wait a minute, you're making a Dangan Ronpa game? Heh-heh-heh! Alright, that's pretty sweet. Only seen the anime to be honest, but I love mysteries. Perhaps you might continue to post updates on this project?
As for the sprites, the most I could do is agree with LM: the outlines. Standard Pokémon sprites usually offer a pretty decent example of how to do that. But back to my main point. Yeah--if you're cool with letting us know more about this project of yours, let us (me, specifically) know.

Ialmostforgotthatthisforumisathing *ahem* Yes I am! I got the uh... "Idea" while playing Another Episode! I mainly posted the trainer sprites I hastily made on here so I could eventually compare them to the sprites that I plan on actually taking my time on.Professor Morel wrote:Wait a minute, you're making a Dangan Ronpa game? ...Where would I go to post things about my game on here?
In RELATED news, I updated two of the first three sprites... Well, I changed the outlines, anyway:
I can't really change the Me!Me!Me! idol sprites and still make her look like her reference, though I have noticed that she looks a lot like another Gainex character, so if I ever feel like spriting, I could change her into Stocking. Though I should probably focus on finishing the first chapter of the game, and maybe changing the character sprites since now I don't have to rush.

Well. I would assume the [Video Games] thread would be a good bet. On a side note, might you teach me how you made the sprite that blazes with fire and grows a tail? Okay. What I mean is, could you tell me how to make an animated sprite? I've always wanted to do that. Up to you though, its perfectly fine if you don't.

Really? Huh. Well cool! The first chapter's story is done, but I went through it and it's only fifteen minutes long, so now I'm trying to pad the game out a bit.Professor Morel wrote:Well. Anyway, I used imgflip. I can't link it since I'm new, but I'm sure you can find it by searching "imgflip gif maker" or something.
