Still Revising (I'm serious)

Wow its been a llllooonnnggg time since I have done anything with this! So yeah here are the edits I made tonight on both the trainer and over world sprites. IDK I just remembered this sprite never satisfying me so of course I decided to go back and fix it at 1:51 AM!





AND I'm also working on a mugshot at the time being and hopefully it will go well!!

ALSO while this isn't pokemon per say it still is pixel art (I guess) so here

this sprite is actually quite nice

This is actually a really nice solid sprite. I like what you did with the houndour maybe if your up for it you should give a neck scarf to a houndoom or edit the neck scarf to have a mega stone and your trainer sprite to have the keystone (probably on the headband).

The sprite is pretty solid, nothing really wrong I can see. I like the way you did the skirt. Also the Peridot sprite is awesome

The sprite is great! Only flaw I can really see is that the shading on the skirt is odd. I couldn't even see the shading until I looked for it. As for the overworlds, they look great as well. They perfecty include every aspect of the trainer sprite. The last sprite is really cool, I especially like the colour palette. Only things I can see are that one hand looks a lot bigger than another (I know that this is perspective but the hand really is big) and the shape of the shadow is a bit weird. If either of those are normal to that style, please just disregard those comments. Great sprite work and I can't wait to see that mugshot!

The houndor neck band idea is cool and since you already have overworlds for the trainer, maybe you could edit houndor overworlds to have the band as well.

WIP Mugshot

I'm still working on the body so I cropped it out for now. Its quite messy looking at the moment so I didn't really wanna show it off yet. When I'm finished though the whole mugshot will be posted here so you can see the body.



I really hope this turns out well.

(This took a little longer than I wanted, but I'm finally getting around to critiquing this.)

The trainer sprite is actually really solid, but their are some things I feel need some fixing. Firstly, the arms seem to be at different lengths, and while this may just be a perspective thing, it doesn't quite seem right. Another thing that bugs me is the shading. It is good in some spots, like the torso, but needs some touching up in other spots, like the skirt and the shirt sleeves. On the skirt, the lighting just goes against the way the light would be shining on the shirt, and it also goes against the normal Pokemon sprite light source. On the sleeves, the light source looks like it's coming from where the viewer is looking, which also gives it a slight pillow shaded thing, and pillow shading just doesn't go well with Pokemon sprites. Another thing I'd suggest doing is adding a shadow between the legs and the skirt to make it look like the skirt isn't right up against the legs.

As for the OWs, they look really good. Everything is shown well, and it all seems really accurate. The only suggestion I have is to add a forth shade to the hair because, from my experience, it makes it look a lot better, and it allows you to detail it up a lot more, but it isn't a thing that's needed. It's just something I like to do.

I would say something about the mugshot, but I kinda suck at those myself, so you'd be in better hands getting advice from CrimsonIgnis on that.

These are pretty good, and I can't wait to see more of what you make. Keeep up the good work ^^
