Salutations...?

This appears to be the place to introduce yourself, but the subforum itself is empty, which makes me post this with some trepidation (though I see nothing forbidding it). I seem to have drifted here from a series of links that lead back to Youtube; I have a habit of beginning in one place and ending up elsewhere, but it looks rather nice here, so I thought I might stay a while and see what it was about. I've been with Pokémon since the time before computers became really widespread, and when the Internet was still very much a curious thing that travelled through phone lines. I like it better now that it doesn't.

Random other details — I read a lot, and consequently sound a bit like an old book. I also write stories, and I might be an aspiring novellist. My screen name is something I chose purely because I like how it sounds, and, well... Cheers, I suppose.

(an oh yes the old internet and the days of needing a second phone line because people would get mad about not being able to receive calls when someone was online).

We never had a second phoneline, but we didn't use the phone often, or the Internet — I mostly learnt about that at school, and then used it in libraries.

Things seem to bode well thus far.

Hey, since you are into reading, we have a HUGE Role Play story going on, if you want to check it out. The writing isn't the best, but that's what happens when a lot of people work on a story at different times.

I might look a bit later; I'm not much of a role-player myself, since I do better with such things if I can revise them to death before they see the light of day, but I'm generally able to forgive less-than-stellar writing if the matter holds my interest.

Okay. I fully understand. Also, if you want to get to know other members, the ChatBox is a great place to do that. It also kills a lot of time, so use with caution.
