In case you do not remember, Guard Swap is a move that switches all buffs and de-buffs to the Defense and Special Defense Stats. Only 7 Pokemon can learn it by leveling up, one of which is restricted to Uber tier, so it will defenitly come as a surprise to any opponent. The combo that almost instantly came to my mind is Shell Smash + Guard Swap. The draw back to this is you have to spend one turn with lowered defenses, but there are ways to get around this problem. I do not have a lot of experience in competitive play, so I was wondering what you all though about this. Is this strategy any good, and can you think of any other ways to use this rather unique move?

Only three pokemon get both of those moves (Smeargle, Carracosta, and Magcargo). I would personally find it much more worth your time to just attack, since the opponent may KO you in the time it takes for you to use it, or even just switch to get rid of the defense drops.
