Pokémon Generations

So the trailer for Pokemon Generations is out.



This looks like the anime everyone wanted Pokémon to make... except each episode is 2-5 mins -.-
Well I'll take what I can get atleast.

11/10 already better than the usual anime. That's probably true though all things considered. I just found it great that the police were doing a raid with an arcanine and a machamp. The series is probably gonna get a lot of praise though because its not the usual stuff and it looks like it has a darker tone considering its following the games that makes sense. Hopefully they'll go further with it in the future than just 5 minute episodes.

Don't get me wrong, I like this series as much as the next human, but if they just make red the star of the series and not the other protagonists I'm going to hug an electrode with explosion

Eh to be honest Red is the only one with any personality out of the protagonists. If he isn't the star they would have to switch between characters with identical personalities and different looks.

Or they could make the bosses from the evil teams main characters in certain episodes. They are on the poster after all. Another person that could be a main character for certain episodes would be Looker, who also appeared in the trailer. Just really depends what they wanna do with the series.

Well from what I've seen in the trailer it looks like Red will go to the Kalos region as well as Kanto, so he might be in more than a few episodes.

I'll be happy either way as long as I get to see certain characters, like the Rocket executives from HGSS, and Silver, and maybe some other characters I'm forgetting about.
So when will the dub cast list be released I wonder? Blue's voice is kind of bugging me, like I should know iiiit...

Since it looks like Generations is linked to The Origin due to the art style, I'd say that they'll have the same voice actors from that for any of the main characters. So just look up who voices him then and it might be the same guy voicing him as in The Origin.

Well, it already seems like the second episode takes place at least shortly after Origins. Looker's Kaiji Tang who did Hagakure (Danganronpa) a lot of people in the Fire Emblem 3DS games, Armored Gorilla from One Punch Man, Tsugumu in Kill La Kill, and a lot of other characters who I don't know. (At least not yet.)
It hasn't been added to his IMDB yet, though, but he just confirmed it on Twitter.

It's a youtube short series. People acted like it's actually a new anime. I wouldn't call it an 'anime'.
That being said, nothing wrong with the pikachu one.. but the Team Rocket thing was weird.

I actually like it for what it is though, they are less than four minutes long so it's not gonna be the best thing ever really. But for what it is, its fine and it might add a little more to the games, like episode 2 where it makes you think 'then what the hell is Giovanni doing now?' I'm hoping they're releasing generations as a sort of see what people think of it and then from there they might produce full 30 minute episodes, which will make it better in the long run if they do so.

They said they would be "2 to 5 minute long shorts" so they didn't lie. I'm really happy with it, really has a nice feel to it.

I kinda liked the two episodes of pokemon generations, with the second one being the better one in my opinion. The only real problem I have with it is the video quality. Why would they make it at 360p, that makes no sense at all.

I didn't realise it was only 360p but it makes sense why the quality wasn't that good. Maybe for a fast upload or something I'd guess. Also over hype is something caused by fans so you can't really fault them there either.

Hetalia's also considered as an anime despite each episode only being around five minutes long.

seeing as anime is the style of the cartoon and usually originates in Japan it's safe to say that it is one

Mm.. I mean in the sense of what could actually be called a show that airs on tv. Calling it a new series of anime is somewhat misleading because it's not on that scale at all.
It's just shorts- I'm gonna call it what it is. If it were on tv it'd be that thing that they air after an episode of something is over but there's a bit of time before the next actual show.

So I just watched episode 3 of this and couldn't help but think that lance would fit right in with Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. On a related note you could probably stick the to be continued guitar tune for Jojo's on the end of the short for a bit of a laugh.

The latest episode was alright. I like the animation for the battling and I like the first perspective on Lapras.
I want to know about the human characters. I also want to see characters who have never been animated in an anime before.
And I really want to hear Izaya.

AZ is the only character who hasn't been animated before besides rocket Admins from GSC/HGSS

Man, the battles in this have so much potential. They are nothing like the anime, where the only difference between attacks is the colour of the projectiles.
